Account Planner

Boutique creative & interactive agency is now seeking a qualified Account Planner with experience in marketing planning, media buying and account management. We are seeking a candidate with ample advertising agency experience or similar experience on the client-side.

Job Duties:

Business Development + Client Facing:

  • Meet with new / potential clients and develop branding and marketing plans
  • Create budgets, estimate new jobs and change orders
  • Draft proposals based on client needs and define scopes of work
  • Design marketing plans for clients to enable them to reach objectives
  • Follow up with potential clients throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead meetings with clients and creative team members and make presentations as needed
  • Be an accessible, known resource for client requests
  • Maintain and build relationships with former, current and new customers to better service them
  • Track and analyze sales information and maintain client / vendor databases
  • Attend networking events and represent the company

Account Planning + Creative:

  • Create, recommend and implement marketing plans with clients, vendors and creative team
  • Develop marketing strategies across digital and traditional outlets
  • Create media plans and production schedules
  • Book media purchases
  • Manage vendor relationships and buying including traditional, non-traditional and printing
  • Interface with Project Manager about jobs coming in the house; follow up to start and finish new projects
  • Work with the creative team to convey project specifics and client needs
  • Write creative briefs and brand / marketing audits
  • Contribute campaign concepts
  • Act as the go-to for creative team members to understand scopes of work and provide feedback where needed
  • Bill client time to accounts as needed
  • Ensure work produced meets objectives and client satisfaction and complies with contracts
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness
  • Oversee / undertake research and commission external research when needed

Agency-side:

  • Use your business intellect to deliver client-focused solutions, to agency quality standards
  • Improve or build systems to streamline efficiencies
  • Provide insightful inputs and entrepreneurial spirit to grow the business
