Beignet Fest is an annual celebration for one of New Orleans’ most notable treats put on by The Tres Doux foundation. Using proceeds from the festival, the Tres Doux Foundation makes grants to local nonprofit organizations that provide accessible, quality programs for children with developmental delays and disabilities. When they approached Deep Fried to build an identity and website for them, we immediately jumped at the chance to help their efforts.

A truly “Deep Fried” success.

After a two-year COVID hiatus, Beignet Fest wanted to recapture attention for both the festival event and its foundation, formerly the Tres Doux Foundation. Our aim was to create a brand identity with warm, welcoming, and friendly attributes — a direct reflection of the children and families it benefits. We developed a strategy that positioned the newly coined Beignet Fest Foundation (BFF) as a big-hearted friend of the community, because Autism needs a BFF! As a concept central to its identity, Benny was born as the pintsized, pillowy beignet with a big heart and sweet face that brings it all together: the kids, the fest, the foundation, and its mission.

With Benny’s help, we helped share the Beignet Fest story with a friendly, welcoming website designed to be a place where people could learn more about the organization and its vision, and engage donors and families thriving on the spectrum. Ultimately, the brand assets are simple, yet bright and bold — an affectionate and compassionate experience befitting the fest and foundation, and a BFF for everyone who needs one.
